Galaxy Girl By Czariah Gardner.
The painting is a girl colored in purple, blue, pink, and white with a black background. It takes place in space. The painting is made of many curved lines, it has diamonds, hearts, circles, and ovals to make up her hair.
My eyes immediately went to the white diamond in the middle then went outwards to her hair and face, then the stars around her. The girl seems to be absorbing the colors and shapes of space into herself. The girl is the most important part of the piece because all the shapes and lines create her or are centered around her. The painting gives me a very relaxed feeling like everything is calm. Czariah made this piece because she was inspired by geometric shapes and the colors she chose reminded her of the space, so she went with a galaxy theme.
I really like this piece of art. I think she blended the colors well and added the highlights nicely. I think Czariah could've added black the the edges of her painting instead of leaving it white, but it's still pretty regardless. If I was the artist I think I would've added more pink because I'm a fan of the color and I think a bit more would look nice on the piece.

The Nun By Karina Ortega.
The nightmare painting was inspired by the movie she watched called The Nun. The painting depicts a girl being dragged by fire demons, with a giant nun in the background and a bright blue sky. When I saw the painting my eyes Immediately went to the red creatures that were dragging the girl higher. I like the use of height in this painting. The Nun's height and size compared to the girls and the red creatures added a heightened sense of fear to her painting. I like her painting and think it is a nice physical depiction of her nightmare.
